Okay I’m trying to remember to post here, so here is my weekly posting of my layouts. (Just click the layouts for Credits)

First up, I did this one for WM [squared]’s team. I love this collab and this picture is priceless:

Man, where did March go? I have no clue but I do know that I spent some of it sick and having sick kids and a sick mom. Eww. But before that happened, I managed to scrap some new Layouts. First is something for Andilynn:

I'm just putting a quick note to say that I got my rejection letter from ScrapMatters, which mean this month is my last for them for the time being. But in good news, Andrea of Andilynn Designs invited me onto her team, which I accepted. As the saying goes, when one door closes another opens. I am taking this opportunity to hone my scrapping skills, working on my fledgling designing skills, and spending time with the family and my digi friends!

Before I get to my freebie (just hang in for a little longer), I want to talk about a go to item in my life: my coupon binder. When I became pregnant and had my second daughter, I took a long look at our finances and realized that if I didn't do some budgeting we were in for a heap of trouble. Thus, enters couponing. I have a binder where my coupons sit in baseball pages organized alphabetically. Sounds a little OCD. Well, that binder has allowed me to save up to 70% on my grocery bill and get things for free or with overage at Walgreens and CVS. Better handy I might say! What is your go to item?

FOBTY- Gift Shopping

I have been totally slacking on my blog. Let's see I am usually a month before shopper. I generally have an idea for what I want to get someone and then I tried to get it well ahead of time to make sure I have it on the actual day. But since marrying my husband I have become a last minute shopper because he forgets to tell that we are going to a party until the night before. Very Frustrating to me!

For Christmas this year, I am determined to get everything done by December 1. I have a ton of books for Carrie, some wooden dress up dolls, some DVDs and after Halloween hopefully some cool new dress up clothes. Mom is done. Dad is done. Chris and Amy are done. I know what I am getting DH and Molly just need to purchase it. And I need to finish up Courtney's book and she is getting a gift basket. I am waiting for Thanksgiving to find out about DH's family. I am personally hoping for no gift exchange this year but not holding my breath. So I am track for my deadline.

My favorite season is spring training. I love that the cold of winter has ended. It also the time of my birthday and Easter and all the other fun holidays like that. I love also that baseball season starts up. Spring is the best season.

It has been a long time since I went to a fair. I remember going to the Arizona State Fair in Junior High to perform with the band. We were at the stage right by the entrance. It was the first real performance in front of strangers. I remember being really nervous. Afterwards, me and my dad would walk around a bit. I was never really into the whole fair experience. I guess I'm missing that gene.

Okay, when I think of sports I think of baseball, America's Pastime. And when I think about baseball, I think Boston Red Sox. I went to law school in Boston and quickly become a member of Red Sox Nation. The first two years I was there, Boston broke my heart by getting knocked out of the playoffs by the hated Yankees. But then in 2004, the Curse of the Bambino was broken. The Red Sox became the only MLB team to overcome a 0-3 deficit and went on to sweep the Cardinals in the World Series. It was a spectacular time in Boston. People were crying and cheering. The Red Sox have helped me discover my inner sports fan and the true definition of diehard fan!

SSD has some quirky questions I need to answer and here they are:

1. Do you wash your own car or do you go to a car wash? I take it to a car wash because I am too lazy to wash it myself. I rarely get my car washed.

2. Are you wearing socks right now? Nope. I can't remember the last time I did wear socks. Don't like them.

3. Where were you 3 hours ago? Sleeping! It's only 8:43 in the morning here!

4. Do you have laundry waiting to be done? Always! Two kids will do that. I have clothes in the dryer, clothes in the washer, clothes to be folded and clothes to be washed. It is neverending!

5. Can you pick objects up with your toes? Sometimes, but I haven't tried in a while.

Let's see. I have rededicated myself to losing weight via Weight Watchers so exercise will definitely be a part of that. I will probably end up doing our Wii Fit or using the gym at work to use the treadmill. It is too hot right now to work out outdoors, but when it cools down, I will also walk around the neighborhood.

I'm supposed to blog about a few songs that I'm totally into. The two songs I sing all the time now are Cobra Starship's "Good Girls Go Bad" so addictive and I love the video with Leighton Meester.

The other song is "Wanted" by Jessie James. Sounds just like Christina Aguilera. It is eerie. So there you have it!

Speed Scrap this Thursday!

There is a Speed Scrap at Scrap Matters this Thursday at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, 8 p.m. Central, 7 p.m. Mountain, and 6 p.m. Pacific Time. The wonderful Chelle is hosting and she has also provided a gorgeous participation prize. Here is a look at the PP:
I would say that those are some beautiful paps, Newsies-style! If you haven't seen Newsies you must check it out. One of the great underrated Disney movies. Here is my favorite song from it "Carrying the Banner"

I unfortunately won't be there, I will be in Washington State for my lil' bro's wedding. But come join the ladies either in the forum or the chat room. It is a blast and if you are new to SS then I have one tip for you: don't be intimidated by the chat, it moves fast but just keep an eye for the instructions and ignore the rest if it bogs you down!

I'm going to try to post better. Organization is the name of the game and unfortunately my kid's name are trouble and mayhem. Keep Scrapping!

Okay I haven't updated in a while life has gotten into the way. I have lots of news for you including a CT call, a sale, and a sneaky peek along with some fabulous new LOs, so here we go!

First, Chelle's Creations is having a her first official CT Call. If you like her designs please apply. Chelle is a great designer to work for, she is laid back and cool and it is a drama free zone. Here is her ad:

Okay, Second, Scrap Matters is having a Christmas in July sale starting tomorrow! All Christmas and Winter Kits will be 25% off the 17th through the 21st. Fourth Weekend Memories

Hello! I hope everyone had a fabulous fourth of july and if you don't celebrate I hope your weekend has been great. I got Friday off of work and used it prep for the BBQ. We also took the kids to a local park where I forgot to bring my camera. My oldest loved it and the youngest is too little to care! We will definitely go back and next time I'm taking the camera!

The Fourth was great! We had family and friends over for BBQ. I made way too much food and we have plenty of leftovers for the week! The kids ran around and played with everything. We managed to get the house pretty well cleaned up before company came over. Later that night we got to see some fireworks. I will try to update later with the photos. I also managed to scrap! Here are the two layouts I did yesterday for ScrapMatters challenges.

Designer Spotlight: Sugarplum Paperie

I've decided to dedicate Thursday to spotlight some of the designers that I love and why I love them. First up is Sugarplum Paperie.

Sugarplum Paperie is available at The Digichick and designed by Nicole Seitler who also happens to own the store. I first encountered her when she was part of the Sunshine Girls. I always loved how her papers and elements have stayed so true to the paper scrapping style. Her kits are not huge but the elements and papers included are well-designed and carefully thought out. She also contributes to the FEMNZ Grab Bags of which I own II and III. They are a must pick up!

Welcome and Exciting News

Hello! This is my first blog post as you can see. After much deliberation and trial and error I have finally decided to launch a scrapping blog. Why a scrapping blog, you might ask? Why not a more traditional blog? Well there are many reasons. One, I don't want to blog about my personal life too much. Two, given my job as an attorney I can not and will not blog about my work. And third, I love scrapping! It has really become more than just a past time and has developed into an addiction and obsession. So here I am with my lil' ol' blog. And the name should pretty obvious now. Scrappin' Legal, attorney, scrapper. HAHAHA!

Anyway, my exciting news! As some of fellow scrappers may be aware, ScrapMatters did an awesome contest in May called Queen of Scrap. It is what I would call an endurance test for scrappers. The ten scrappers with the most layouts at the end were in the running for being crowned either the queen or princess of scrap. I just barely squeaked into the top ten with 133 LOs. However, I did not win a title. But a big shout out and congrats to the new royalty, especially new Queen Erica! She totally rocked it and her gallery should definitely be checked out. However, just the other day I got an invite to be on the unofficial CT team of Chelle's Creations at the store! I'm totally psyched! My first CT ever. And for such an awesome designer. So QOS was a total winner for me: I got LOs done and got recognized. So I may be periodically blogging about Chelle's stuff.
